While a standard king duvet insert may fit (though it will inevitably result in one side of the bed being devoid of an insert pouf), the king-sized duvet insert from Parachute stands out significantly in size and is my personal favorite.
However, I must admit that it could be slightly larger. You're familiar with the effect achieved with overstuffed pillows? Well, this can be replicated by utilizing an insert that is one size larger. It would be ideal if duvet inserts were available in sizes larger than king to facilitate the attainment of that overstuffed look in duvets! This review of Parachute bedding is not only beneficial for you but also presents an opportunity for me to share some remarkable marketing strategies with Parachute. Just for the record, achieving a cloud-like appearance is still attainable.
Additionally, I have chosen the down-alternative duvet insert, and it has won my heart. The feel and poufs of this insert closely mimic those of traditional down, and I find myself utterly captivated by it.
The Parachute Sheet Set Review
Upon receiving the sheets for the initial use, I was surprised by their lack of softness in comparison to the duvet cover. The softness of the duvet cover completely outshone that of the sheets. Initially, I found myself inclined to sleep next to the duvet cover, leaving the sheets uninterested. However, I persisted, and after approximately six months and several washes, they did become noticeably softer. Nonetheless, this process was quite lengthy.
Currently, I have a fondness for the sheets, though my husband does not share my enthusiasm. He believes they lead to excessive heat. While this is a valid point, they do offer a slightly warmer sleeping experience. Nevertheless, I personally relish the feeling of warmth and coziness during sleep. It is said that linen sheets have cooling properties, yet I have not experienced this with these sheets or any other linen sheets I have used. It could be that I am not using them correctly, or perhaps it is all a marketing ploy.
Moreover, my husband prefers sheets that fit tightly, a characteristic that the linen sheets do not meet. Therefore, if you value a more relaxed, cozy, and luxurious feel, the linen sheets might be a good fit. However, if you plan to iron them daily, I would suggest considering a different material.
In summary, my overall satisfaction with the parachute sheet set, duvet insert, and duvet cover is exceedingly high.
